Similan islands , which is called the best snorkelling site of the world that people from all over the world is dream about , to have been once in a life. There is a crystal cleared water which always good visibility through 30-40 meters when it comes to Jan-Mar.
All overnight accommodations on the islands have been demolished as part of the rehabilitation program.Islands 1, 2, and 3 are closed to the public due to a turtle hatching protection program and reef conservation efforts. Island number 3 belongs to a Thai princess.
Fishing is banned in Similan and Surin National Parks. However, fishing boats are constantly seen in and around the park. When diving, one can often find nets stuck to reefs and illegal fishing traps. In recent years many illegal fishing traps have been found outside the most common dive sites. They have contained among others trevallies, batfish, barracuda, golden pilot jacks, and triggerfish. Fishing traps seem to be overly abundant around Ko Bon and Ko Tachai.

13:15 2nd snorkeling spot - Next station 'Finding Nemo!
Depart for 2nd snorkeling point at Payu Island (Island No.7) where sea turtles and clown fish (Nemo) are offen sight.

14:00 Take a rest at Mieng Island (Island No.4) - Head to the gorgeous beach of the honeymoon Bay and Princess Bay for more scenic photos and relaxing time.

15:20 Time to say goodbye - Heading back from Similan to private pier.

16:30 Back to hotel - Arrive safely at the pier, have another meal with noodle fried, papaya salad and icecream then get on a transfer back to the hotel with a backpack full of wonderful memories, salty hair and tan skin!

SURIN ISLAND ( 2,700 BAHT )
Mu Ko Surin National Park encompasses the islands and their surrounding waters. The park covers an area of approximately 141.25 km2. It contains the Surin Islands and the surrounding waters. Of the protected area, 108 km2 or 80 percent is ocean. The park was gazetted as the 29th national park of Thailand on 9 July 1981. The park is closed during rainy season, 1 May-31 October, every year.
40min offshore the Thailand west coast, the Surin Islands Marine National Park holds some of the most breathtaking underwater treasures of the Andaman Sea. Snorkeling day trips are available to this isolated archipelago surrounded by turquoise, warm waters. You can swim with turtles and admire the pristine reefs fringing the coast.Due to its remote location, the Surin Islands National Park has remained free of the pressures of tourist development from the mainland.
Since the creation of the park in the 80's, the Surin Islands have been protected from overfishing and mass tourism promoting a rich marine diversity and an excellent reef conditions. The tsunami has had limited impacts on the ecosystem, healthy reefs have recovered and most of the sites exhibit few hundred years old coral colonies.There are Pelagic species in the Surin IslandsThese idealistic conditions make the Surin a haven of peace large schools of reef fish andfor ocean giants such as whale sharks and manta rays or napoleon which can be observed flying majestically in the blue. Koh Surin is also frequented by sea turtles which are often spotted and come to lay down their eggs on the white sandy beaches framing the islands.
There are many interesting snorkeling and diving spots around the Surin Islands. The eastern coast exhibits the best corals within the archipelago. Protected from the main winds and currents, dotted with shallow and sheltered bays, it is the perfect location to explore safely the beauty of Surin.
